About Us
The IR2L team have all been affected by cancer. We understand the multitude of emotions that come with confronting a cancer diagnosis. While we have been extraordinarily lucky with the support we have received from our friends and family, we know that not everyone has the same network. We have decided to harness the fear and loss of control, turn them around, and pay our blessings forward. We want to make sure that the people we help regain a sense of purpose and a measure of control over their lives by providing some financial assistance. Making decisions like buying a new outfit, taking the family out for ice cream or buying a wig are small but important steps in the process of regaining a sense of normalcy. Beginning with financial assistance we want people fighting cancer to know that we are there for them and that they are not fighting alone.
Rakhi Ruchandani
Founder of IR2L, Inc.
I graduated from Adelphi University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Art and Education. While I love teaching children, I currently work at The Law Offices of Nandita Ruchandani as a paralegal. I am also a cancer patient. On July 1, 2013, I was diagnosed Synovial Sarcoma, Stage 3. In declaring war on cancer, my motto has always been “I Refuse to Lose.” Hence, IR2L was born out my stubborn desire to win out over cancer. Even with family and friends supporting me, I have struggled financially since my diagnosis. However, I have been blessed in many ways and appreciate the fact that I am lucky. Looking around me and seeing others going through this fight without an amazing support system, I decided to do something about it. By founding IR2L, I want to pay my blessings forward. When cancer devastated my life, every little bit helped me to retain a sense of control. By giving back a measure of control and dignity, IR2L hopes to help and heal.
We lost Rakhi on October 1, 2016. She was a bright light who was extinguished too soon. This organization keeps her memory and mission alive.

Neelam Ruchandani
Company Secretary, IR2L Inc.
I am Rakhi’s mother and deeply involved in her fight against cancer. I got involved so that I too could help other people suffering through what Rakhi is enduring. While I cannot hug everyone who is fighting cancer, I sure do try. I believe that IR2L will be a force for good and that Rakhi will be able to help a lot of people. When I am not accompanying Rakhi to Memorial Sloan Kettering, I am taking care of my husband who has also been diagnosed with a rare cancer.
